Audience targeting

Choose who receives your campaign — all contacts, specific lists, or filtered groups.

When creating a campaign, you choose the audience — the group of contacts who will receive the email.

Targeting options

All contacts

Send to every contact in your workspace. Use this for major announcements or product updates that are relevant to everyone.

Specific list

Send only to members of a particular list. This is the most common approach — it lets you target "Newsletter subscribers," "Beta users," or any other list you've created.

List with exclusions

Send to one list but exclude contacts who are also in another. For example:

  • Send to "All subscribers" but exclude "Churned customers"
  • Send to "Product updates" but exclude "Enterprise" (who get a separate, tailored email)

Who gets excluded automatically

Even within your selected audience, Sendra automatically skips:

  • Unsubscribed contacts — anyone who has opted out
  • Bounced contacts — addresses that have previously hard-bounced
  • Blocklisted addresses — emails on your blocklist
  • Contacts without a valid email — shouldn't happen, but just in case

Audience preview

Before sending, the campaign editor shows the estimated recipient count based on your targeting. This helps you verify you're reaching the right group.
